Read our North Direct Investment review to see why we do NOT recommend this broker for trading. Just to clear doubts, this is a north-direct.com review.

Is North Direct Investment Legit or Scam?

After taking a look at their website, it shows that they do not fall under any regulatory agency. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG!! That alone should be enough for you NOT to invest with them. They also work with websites that offer “Automated trading software” which is another red flag, as this kind of websites are infamous scammers.

So, North Direct Investment is just another unregulated forex broker, which means the customers aren’t protected, and there is highly likely they will get away with your hard-earned money and there will be no regulating agency to hold them responsible.

Regulatory Body Status
FCA (UK) No record of authorization
ASIC (AU) No record
CySEC (EU) No record
SEC / CFTC (US) No record

How does the scam work?

Usually, unregulated forex brokers work in the following way. They will call people to persuade them to make the initial minimum deposit. And they will try any conceivable method in order to make that happen. They will offer deals that sound too good to be true. Like we will double your initial deposit or you will make hundreds of dollars per day easily. Please don’t fall for anything they say!!! It is a SCAM! After making the initial deposit, the clients get transferred to a smarter scammer, called a “retention agent”, who will try to get more money out of you. Also, one thing we need to add here is: don’t trust the good North Direct Investment reviews you might see online. They pay websites and services to improve their online reputation by posting good reviews about them.

Withdrawing funds

You should submit a withdrawal request immediately, because your funds are never safe with an unregulated broker. And here is when things get tricky.

If you want to withdraw your money and it doesn’t matter if you have profits or not, they will delay the withdrawing process for months. If they delay it for six months, you won’t be able to file a chargeback anymore and your money is gone for good. It doesn’t matter how often you remind them or insist in withdrawing your money, you will NOT get them back. And if you signed the Managed Account Agreement or MAA, which is basically authorizing them to do anything they want on your account, they will lose all your funds so there won’t be anything to request anymore.

How to get your money back from North Direct Investment?

If you already deposited your money with them and they refuse to give your money back, which is very likely to happen, don’t worry, it might be a way or two to get your money back.
First of all, you need to keep the emails as proof that you have been requesting the money back from them but they don’t give it to you. Or they delay the process for too long, with the intention of not refunding your money.

The first thing you should do is perform a chargeback! And you should do this right away! Contact your bank or credit card provider and explain how they deceived you into depositing money for a non-regulated trading company. Mention also that they refuse to give your money back. This is the simplest way of getting your money back and is also the way that hurts them the most. Because if there are many chargebacks performed, it will destroy their relation with the payment service providers. If you haven’t done this before or you are not sure where to start or how to present your case to your bank or credit card company, we can assist you in preparing your chargeback case. Just contact [email protected] but don’t let your broker know they you read this article or that you are contacting us.

What about wire-transfers?

If you sent them a wire, there is no way to perform a chargeback on a wire. For this step you need to raise the fight to a different level. Tell them you will go to the authorities and file a complaint against them. That will get them to rethink the refund possibility. Another thing you can do is prepare a letter or email for the regulating agencies. Depending on where you live, you can search google to find the regulatory agency for Forex brokers in your country. After that you can prepare a letter or an email describing how they deceived you. Make sure you show this letter or email to them, and tell them you will send it to the regulating agency if they don’t refund your money. If you don’t know where to start, reach us at [email protected] and we’ll help you with this step as well.

  1. I found it via a quora ad and paid the minimum to check it out. At first I found it interesting when he led me through a few steps that made me 30% profit. Next time it was the same.
It wasn’t clear to me how it could make so much profit over a few minutes, so after that, I looked into it online. I found nothing as if it never existed before , only paid reviews, and three cautionary reviews. There were some serious warnings about a very similarly named company, which I noow know could well have been the previous name of the company. Next call the pressure tactics started. I’d already read enough to be extremely wary of the company. They wanted me to set up my bank account with the because a “super opportunity” was available which only cost $3000. THAT’S when the alarm bells started ringing and I quickly closed any further contact. And no.. it wasn’t that simple, they called, I said no, they pleaded, finally I just said “I had no money anyways” and never heard from them again. Until yesterday, as it seems they’ve changed their company name again to northdirectinv.com. Only after reading this post did I know that that’s a common tactic.
This time they said I’ve got 228 thousand dollars (I really don’t) and what did I want to do with it? I don’t know what theiir game is but it can’t be good.
Now, as of April 2026, there’s a lot more alerts about these guys than there were last year.
This is my experience. Thankfully I didn’t lose thousands or worse..

  2. North Direct and northdirectinv.com are a complete scam! I am ashamed to say that they got 20K from me. The alarm bells went off right away, but I was hoping and wanting it to be real in order to help me get out of a bad situation. They only made it worse! It began with only a $300 deposit towards arbitrage trades. As my account grew over time, there were high pressure tactics to “grow it more”. I put in 20K over ten months and my “account” did grow to over 100K in that time. The first 8 months were arbitrage trades twice a week that slowly went up as I invested more. Then I was handed from my account manager to an analyst who had me trading Bitcoin (as my account was over 80K then). Much to their surprise, I was doing really well with trading Bitcoin…if only it had been real. So, the analyst stepped in while I was grieving a loss in the family and blew up my account on my birthday. Not that it matters, as it wasn’t real and the money I had invested over the months was long gone.
Red flags that I ignored: They obviously used alias, Michael Shapiro and Benjamin Goldberg…both had Spanish/South American accents. Crypto retrieval companies had been calling me for months before claiming I had far more crypto than I did. The returns were too good. I had a difficult time finding information on the company and verification. They did send forged documents that looked official to the untrained eye. They got sloppy at the end. I received a call before my account blew up from a “company” that knew my name and said that they would help me retrieve my lost funds. I said I didn’t know what they were talking about and he said “didn’t you lose funds from a foreign entity/scam?” They were already trying to get me into a recovery scam while I was still “trading” with them. Someone jumped the gun. That’s when bad reviews started showing up. So I played along for a little bit and they tried to have me sign paperwork (with my SIN or Passport #) for a “bonus” of $5000 to help rebuild my account. They are trying to scam people in all directions and at every turn and then to add insult to injury, they attempt to steal your identity. Please do not fall for it. I hope that these criminals get the karma that they deserve as I know that I am not the only person that this has happened to and many have lost much for money and peace.
