Is Current Coins Legit?
After taking a look at their website, it shows that they do not fall under any regulating agency. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG!! That should be enough for you NOT to invest with them. And they also work with websites that offer “Automated trading software” which is another red flag, as this kind of websites are infamous for scamming schemes.
So, Current Coins is just another unregulated forex broker, which means the customers aren’t protected, and there is highly likely they will get away with your hard-earned money and there will be no regulating agency to hold them responsible.
| Regulatory Body | Status |
|---|---|
| FCA (UK) | No record of authorization |
| ASIC (AU) | No record |
| CySEC (EU) | No record |
| SEC / CFTC (US) | No record |
How does the scam work?
Usually, unregulated forex brokers work in the following way. They will call people to persuade them to make the initial minimum deposit. And they will try any conceivable method in order to make that happen. They will offer deals that sound too good to be true. Like we will double your initial deposit or you will make $100 per day easily. Please don’t fall for anything they say!!! It is a SCAM! After making the initial deposit, they transfer clients to a smarter scammer, called a “retention agent”, who will try to get more money out of you. Also, one thing we need to add here is: don’t trust the good Current Coins reviews you might see online. They pay websites and services to improve their online reputation by posting good reviews about them.
Withdrawing funds
You should submit a withdrawal request ASAP, because your funds are never safe with an unregulated broker. And here is when things get tricky.
If you want to withdraw your money and it does not matter if you have profits or not, they will delay the withdrawing process for months. If they delay it for six months, you won’t be able to file a chargeback anymore and your money is gone for good. It doesn’t matter how often you remind them or insist in withdrawing your money, you will NOT get them back. And if you signed the Managed Account Agreement or MAA, which is basically authorizing them to do anything they want on your account, they will lose all your funds so there won’t be anything to request anymore.
How to get your money back Current Coins?
If you already deposited your money with them and they refuse to give your money back, which is very likely to happen, don’t worry, it might be a way or two to get your money back.
First of all, you need to keep the emails as proof that you have been requesting the money back from them but they don’t give it to you. Or they delay the process for too long, with the intention of not refunding your money.
The first thing you should do is perform a chargeback! And you should do this right away! Contact your bank or credit card provider and explain how they deceived you into depositing money for a non-regulated trading company. Mention also that they refuse to give your money back. This is the simplest way of getting your money back and is also the way that hurts them the most. Because if there are many chargebacks performed, it will destroy their relation with the payment service providers. If you haven’t done this before or you are not sure where to start or how to present your case to your bank or credit card company, we can assist you in preparing your chargeback case. Just contact [email protected] but don’t let your broker know they you read this article or that you are contacting us.
What about wires?
If you sent them a wire, there is no way to perform a chargeback on a wire. For this step you need to raise the fight to a different level. Tell them you will go to the authorities and file a complaint against them. That will get them to rethink the refund possibility. Another thing you can do is prepare a letter or email for the regulating agencies. Depending on where you live, you can search google to find the regulatory agency for Forex brokers in your country. After that you can prepare a letter or an email describing how they deceived you. Make sure you show this letter or email to them, and tell them you will send it to the regulating agency if they don’t refund your money. If you don’t know where to start, reach us at [email protected] and we’ll help you with this step as well.
Make sure you leave Current Coins reviews in other sites
Another way to hurt them and save other people from falling victims is to leave bad reviews on other sites. See what other sites have posted reviews about Current Coins, and describe shortly what happened. If you fallen victim, please leave a review and a comment on this site at the comment section. Also, when these people change their website, they tend to call the old clients. So, if they call you from a new website, mention it in the comment or let us know about it. That would be really appreciated by us by our users. Also, if you get phone calls from other companies, please put the name of these companies also in the comment. Or you can send them to us and we will expose them too.

Total scam, phoebe harper, supposedly basen in london, had 1 phone call promised a refund, now wont answer emails, phonelines just music. Have emailed the guy in the grenadines of my intentions, companies house have current coins company name up for grabs, and google search doesn’t show them in that londonn address!!! Next move social media, current coins enjoy your 5 minutes of fame before you get closed down!!!!!
David, not his real name persuaded me to give a £170, ($200) deposit via PayPal (look out for a Invoice request in the name Joseph Brown, again an alias it was registered probably to a deceased person which they have bought on the dark web) in order that another colleague called Brooklyn St Pierre claiming to be a senior financial adviser from London to teach you about the platform. She said she would look after my interests / money and make more by trading. However there was a catch. She needed more money (larger sum). Inorder to grow the pot quicker. She convinced me to download the following and open a Revolut (online Bank account). Binance (a legit crypto currency trading platform). And attach a shortcut bookmark of the Current Coins log on page to my smartphone home screen. The real alarms rang out when she asked me for my Experian credit rating. Unfortunately I was completely sweet talked (honey trap tactics) into downloading AnyDesk app where she was able to see all my personal details on my phone. She could see my credit score. Passwords being input love as I talked to her on loudspeaker. They are fraudulent scammers. There only interest is gaining your passport, driving licence and utility bill as I found out. She looked at how much money in the form of a loan any potential finance co would offer me. Please don’t get trapped. Please DO NOT give any ID documents / photo proof’s they request or part with any money. You won’t see that every again. I’m out of pocket £170. I am trying to get a refund via PayPal. As I’m in dispute with CurrentCoins.net individuals.

Exactly what just happened to me but she said she had made me twenty grand and i needed to pay £12.500 into binance as the blockchain wouldnt let the transfer go ahead otherwise and she was pushing hard for me to get a loan.also using anydesk on my pc! ..i have the email to prove all this too.
Total scam. Avoid like the plague. David will ring and use high pressure sales technique. Persuaded me to part with £170. ($200). Currentcoins net NOT BITCOIN360 as the FB advert said, is a company, set up by fraudsters, Variety of names come up, Andrew Owen, Joseph Brown and Brooklyn St-Pierre. They are based in St Vincent & Grenadines (Off shore). They may be hiring London Office space in order to daily claw monies in from unsuspecting potential clients. Please NOTE you will lose all your investment. I am still awaiting a refund. Request sent via email. No reply. Block all numbers. Also go to Trustpilot and give negative reviews. Please warm everyone. I have asked PayPal for a refund. I have to wait 20 days. I suspect I won’t ever see my money back. I was fooled, please don’t become a victim. Reported to FCA and NCA, Cyber Crimes Div.

I lost £11000
Hi Andrew,
I am just wondering if you got any of your funds back? I can see this was tow months ago. My FIL was also scammed for a hell of a lot more money and we are wondering if anyone who has lost their money has been successful in getting it back? Either through insured funds through the bank, the police or any other means..
Thanks
Danny deluca scammed me
Absolute scam. Lost £8,000 Please read these reviews and be sure not to do any business with them. I was looking for an investment and was contacted by a company called Admirria.com (Training company) They set a password for an account manager to call me and said only give details if the person calling knows the password – Current coins – God I wish I had never heard of them. If I can save one other person from these scammers then it will be worth while.
JAN they have recently contacted me about my frozen account. They have changed their name three times since my first venture. I supposedly had earned over £600 . I attempted to get my initial money back but they releases only £100 so despite my efforts to get the remainder of my deposit every obstacle was put in my way. They have now shown my so called “FROZEN”. Account to have increased to almost 17000 dollars.unfortunately the screenshot has no name and timed at 3.56am while it was noon in the UK. Thank you for the warning. Michael
Jan, I also became a victim of Current coins scam. Who was your ‘account manager’? I got a call from a ‘Hailey Ricci’ from Currentcoins (I doubt it is even her real name, but this is what she introduced herself as). I was just curious about the advert I saw online and decided to try my luck and deposit a small amount. This was when Currentcoins called me. This Hailey was very helpful at first. She also recommended that I buy some learning courses from Admirria, so I know what I am doing. I bought one of the courses they have. I did not like it much, the videos were boring, but I thought I would at least learn something useful. And of course, Hailey told me to invest more money into my account at Currentcoins through a Binance wallet she helped me register. Thankfully I did not invest all of my savings, but I still lost a hefty sum, and want others to stay clear of Currentcoins and Hailey Ricci that prey on people online.
I had PayPal inform me today. I’ll be refunded $200. So good news. However it’s too early to say if they (the set of scammers) have applied for larger loans or attempted to obtain credit in my name using my ID. I feel stupid and was totally gullible (sucked in my sweet talking – honey trap – Brooklyn St-Pierre (not her real name). Time will tell.

Hi Carol,
I am asking everyone who has lost last amounts of money if they have had any luck in retrieving their funds. We have had a family member lose a large amount of money too and we just want to know if it is retrievable? Whether you have had the banks help because the funds are insured, the police or anyone else?
We just cant accept that this money has gone with no prospect of getting any back.
Hi Erica so far no luck ,HSBC,Revolut bank and Binanace did not help, all said its not their fault,I was advised to report to action Crime.
currentcoins.net – SCAMMERS AND FRAUDSTERS
I read an article on Cryptonews about Bit Index AI Review which was on the page by Michael Graw. There was the usual disclaimer it was a advertorial article and not part of Cryptonews editorial content. The article was neutral gave the pros and cons. I completed the box for further information not knowing that this was redirected to currentcoins.net. I had a Benny Williams contact me to complete the registration with a payment of US$250. Then I had a Sophie Gelder calling me making general chit chat about my reasons for wanting to sign up. When I asked about access to the demo for the Bit Index AI software I was told that I would need to have a financial advisor to help with my investing. She sounded out of her depth. They also only wanted to communicate via What’s App but had several other numbers that they would call from a list of which I have made. This Sophie Gelder if that is her real name then referred me to Max Teller again may not be his real name who obviously has experience in financing and sounded very knowledgeable but I came to conclude too slick. He wanted to have calls on a daily basis which I rejected and informed that I was not available every day. I told him that I did not have any large sums of money to invest and only £1,000 in a savings account. He told me that I would need to get a Revolut account and also a Binance account. Said that he could help me with the setting up of the Binance account and I had to give him access via Anydesk app on my phone. I concluded that the daily calls was to lull me into trusting him and opening up about information about myself. When I said that I had a mortgage and the value of the mortgage he wanted to have access to my mortgage bank account which I refused. This raised the first red flag. Then he told me that as I was a basic investor with £1,000 that they have special offers with the story of them mining crypto in Mexico which they cannot trade but that it would be a win win situation for them and me if I borrowed money to purchase the mined crypto which they can then trade on my behalf and that he would get someone to call me. Immediately this was the biggest red flag as a legitimate financial advisor never tells a client to borrow money to invest. I challenged him and said who are these people that you want to call me to loan me money. I told him that I would need to think about it. What came to mind was that (a) they were involved in money laundering and (b) that I would end up with a loan that I would have to pay and they would be off with the money. I then started doing some research and found a lot of negative reviews on Trustpilot about currentcoins.net. I then texted Max Teller to inform him that I was closing my account as I no longer wanted to have any dealings with Current Coins and requested my money back. He started being sarcastic about me being a small investor and afraid of big investments etc. I stood my ground and challenged him. I then emailed their support desk. Google came back with a response to say that the email did not exist. I tried to take my money out of the account and of course there was not access to a submit button to get the refund. I then started receiving numerous calls on my phone which I did not answer as I recognised their numbers, they use several which I block each and everyone. All these people associated with Current Coins need to be on an international watch list and arrested for fraud. I have read the reviews of people who invested large sums of money and lost it all. While my amount was small it is still a lot of money for me. Current Coins and all associated with it you can run but you cannot hide forever. Think Bernie Madoff, Robert Allen Stanford and people like them and where they are now all locked up in jail for the rest of their lives.
I have just been scammed for north of 100k wish I done my homework before
Steve, Really sorry to hear this. I hope that you will be able to recover your money. I was lulled into at first thinking that they were legit as their advertorial was on the Cryptonews platform. I think that Cryptonews should take some responsibility and vet any company that wants to advertise on their platform to ensure that they are providing their readers with legit content.

A new scam that they are using is to call you (as they already have your details and have passed it on in their network) and say that they are calling from the Financial Regulatory regarding your crypto account and they even have the gall to say when you challenge them that you can check the Financial Regulatory as their name is on the website. Do not fall for this scam.
