How does the scam works?
Recently there has been a scam promoted heavily on Instagram and Facebook ads. It says that Amazon is launching its own crypto token called Amazon Token. They pretend the articles are written by prestigious websites like The Guardian or Bloomberg. They post a picture of Jeff Bezos at the front pretending that he is behind this innovation even though Bezos is not the CEO of Amazon anymore.
By searching the web, you can’t find any official press release from Amazon about this project, which is a biggest red flag that gave away this scam. Also, they say that the way to buy the Amazon presale token is by transferring crypto, which is the second big red flag.

We will assume that after transferring the cryptos to these scammers, they say you will receive the Amazon Token after the sale ends, but the truth is you will receive nothing in exchange, so please do not fall prey for this scam.
What would you do if you already transferred the funds?
If you transfer the cryptos to then recently there might still be hope. Please contact the crypto exchange as soon as you can as they will be the only one able to stop the transaction. If you transfer cryptos and the transaction is already confirmed on the blockchain that we are sorry to tell you that there isn’t much hope to reverse the transaction.
