Financial Resident Review

Read our Financial Resident review to see why we do NOT recommend this broker for trading. Just to clear doubts, this is a financialresident.com review.

Who are they?

After taking a look at their website, it shows that they do not fall under any regulating agency. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG!! That should be enough for you NOT to invest with them. And they also work with websites that offer “Automated trading software” which is another red flag, as this kind of websites are notoriously famous for scamming schemes.

So Financial Resident is just another unregulated forex broker, which means the customers are not protected, and there is highly likely they will get away with your hard earned money and there will be no regulating agency to hold them responsible.

How does it work?

Usually unregulated forex brokers work in the following way. They will call people to persuade them to make the initial minimum deposit, while trying any conceivable method in order to make that happen. They will offer deals that sound too good to be true, like we will double your initial deposit or you will make $100 per day easily. Please don’t fall for anything they say!!! It is a SCAM! After making the initial deposit, people get transferred to a smarter scammer, called a “retention agent”, who will try to get more money out of you.

Withdrawing funds

You should submit a withdrawal request ASAP, because your funds are never safe with an unregulated broker. And here is when things get tricky.

If you want to withdraw your money and it does not matter if you have profits or not, they will delay the withdrawing process for months. If they delay it for six months, you won’t be able to file a chargeback anymore and your money is gone for good. It does not matter how often you remind them or insist in withdrawing your money, you will NOT get them back. And if you signed the Managed Account Agreement or MAA, which is basically authorizing them to do anything they want on your account, they will lose all your funds so there won’t be anything to request anymore.

How to get your money back?

If you already deposited your money with them and they refuse to give your money back, which is very likely to happen, don’t worry, it might be a way or two to get your money back.
First of all you need to keep the emails as a proof that you have been requesting the money back from them but they don’t give it to you, or they delay the process for too long, with the intention of not refunding your money.

The first thing you should do is perform a chargeback! And you should do this right away! Contact your bank or credit card provider and explain how you were deceived into depositing for a trading company that is not regulated and they refuse to give your money back. This is the simplest way of getting your money back and is also the way that hurts them the most. Because if there are many chargebacks performed, it will destroy their relation with the payment service providers. If you haven’t done this before or you are not sure where to start or how to present your case to your bank or credit card company, we can assist you in preparing your chargeback case. Just contact us at [email protected] but do not let your broker know they you read this article or that you are in contact with us.

What about wires?

If you sent them a wire, there is no way to perform a chargeback on a wire. For this step you need to raise the fight to a different level. Tell them that you will go to the authorities and file a complaint against them. That will get them to rethink the refund possibility. Another thing you can do is prepare a letter or email for the regulating agencies. Depending on the country where you live, you can search on google to find the regulating agency for Forex brokers in that country. After that you can prepare a letter or an email describing how you got deceived from them. Make sure you show this letter or email to them, and tell them you will send it to the regulating agency if they don’t refund your money. If you do not know where to start, reach for us at [email protected] and we will help you with this step as well.

Make sure you leave reviews about Financial Resident in other sites

Another way to hurt them and save other people from falling victims is to leave bad reviews on other sites, and describe shortly what happened. If you fallen victim please leave a review and a comment on this site at the comment section. Also, when these people change their website they tend to call the old clients, so if they call you from a new website please write it down on the comment or let us know it by contacting us. 1. Financialresident.com trading company is a scam I paid them and stayed 60 days pretending they were trading for me, why they pretend to be good. After 60 days they told me they never received the two transfers of £9.167.54 which I paid in December 2020
I asked them why they had confirmed they got the cash. They promised huge profits to lure like I was promised double that never happened. Instead, they were telling me some wild news. They are really scammers who would want to push you to go and take loans from the banks so that they take it all. They also told me to use any-desk an app so that they see your bank accounts, Please be careful to risk your money and your bank accounts. The worst thing is they are not regulated by the UK. They pushed me to see my different bank accounts I refused however the one I allowed them to see is where I made sure the amount would not exceed £20. They make do not follow the right British procedures. If you don’t want to lose your hard-earned cash Never invest with Financial resident.com. They don’t allow you to withdraw cash they would argue till you get tired. (RED FLAG) They are rude and do not listen to customer needs. They do a lot more problems, more information get in touch with me. My case is with the Fraud Global team as I am speaking. My Barclays Bank is trying to chargeback.

  5. financialresident.com are professional scammers whom you can identify by noting their foreign telephones line +41435989239 +442078801909 shows they are from outside UK.
whats up foreign numbers +3725749….they even go to tell you of a London physical address but however you prove them SCAMMERS RED FLAG by logging their number on WHO CALLED ME WEBSITE.
they target UK people most. when they ring they would pretend to help and they use different telephone numbers , once they ring verify their action and numbers by calling action fraud. These people are ruthless but anyway very soon they will meet their fate. I am angry with David Iverson who pretended to be good but is the one who refused to payback my money .David even refused to authorise my withdrawal of my money . I now regret, I wish I had joined my wife to join a reliable CFX trading Co. where she gets her profits every week. I would advise anyone who wants to invest to check the company name through FCA .
Please go every website and comment financialresident scammers reveal other names they use as well as telephone numbers. If you ask them security questions they do not know or becareful they pass your information to their colleagues.
RED FLAG ! In addition to that they ask you about another different bank accounts, ridiculous.

Terrible, you are absolutely right. How stupid we feel that we haven’t looked at the reviews before. We have lost our hard earned money !!! Financialresident.com and David Iverson in particular are really professional scam artists. First transferred by credit card 250.00 Eur, then 2000 Eur via the bank and then another 2000 Eur in total so 4,250 Eur. They can manipulate with the system and show that you have made a lot of profit. We were constantly pressured to transfer money over and over again and when at the end we said we couldn’t transfer anything anymore, they opened a new trade where our profit made has now dropped to 0. We are very angry with David Iverson, who put us under pressure, told lies and came up with great stories. Just disgusting, don’t fall for it. Still have to report to the police. Have sent mail to Bitstamp and FAC / UK.

  7. Hi Kay. I didn’t get my money back. My bank couldn’t help as they said retailer who debited my account are a payment processing company and are only responsible for transferring the funds to a wallet. Can anyone tell me where to ask for help.

  8. We just reported it to the scam watch team and the bank. Not sure how to get the money back. We just want the deposits back. But when we ask them to withdraw, they keep asking for more deposits. That’s when we thought they are fraud.

  9. Be careful now. They
Supposed to pay my money back to my account but what they did they tricked me into sharing the screen with any desk then they went into my online banking and took everything I had on my account. That was extra £4400 on top of initial £4,000 “investment”

  10. Hi All.. pls share if anyone has been able to get their money back.
I have been scammed as well. Thomas Mertens.. mob +37257492815.. +447700307532.. they hv refused to pay me back. Blocked me on WhatsApp. Shown me a fake Licence.
    Very big SCAMSTERS…

  11. Hi All.. pls share if anyone has been able to get their money back.
I have been scammed as well. Thomas Mertens.. mob +37257492815.. +447700307532.. they hv refused to pay me back. Blocked me on WhatsApp. Shown me a fake Licence.

  12. Hi all.. today I received threats from Thomas Mertens.. asking me to pay him $110 or the police wl catch up on. He has got my trading account to -$110 . This guy is in Estonia. And scammer ppl here in the UK.

HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE.

  13. Hi All, I initially invested $250. Not sure why but I thought I would give it a go.

I was then given an account manager Thomas Mertens, he requested further money as they are targeted to makes large profits and $250 is not enough for his senior role. Alarm bells ringing, I ask for my initial deposit he paid back a small amount. When asking for the full amount he become aggressive and threatened to call police cause I was harassing him??. He them blocked my number, all telephone number for the company don’t work.

Then another guy took over the account and raised the profits further, when pushed to pay the money back they go through the motions of adding it to the blockchain where you have to pay a further money (equal to the amount they are transferring) to get the money out!!

I didn’t pay any further money and now have no funds at all on the platform. I’m guessing that this is a total scam and another way to steal money from you.

I have spoken with every trader mention above and all say the same thing – Pay in more money!!

They want me to get loans of up to $20000, pay on credit cards etc. I’m putting this down to a bad experience but please do not use this company!!!!

  14. Scammers scammer scammers watch out for these numbers +44 7700 314533 and +44 7700 307532 they are scammers and uses all sort of names ranging from Lia to Wendy.

  15. Financial Reviews are calling themselves as All Prime Pay another questionable company. Received a call from Charles Hanson.

  16. I too have been caught out 3 days ago here in the UK. Saw an add on my smartphone showing smiling TV Dragons Den participant Peter Jones promoting Bitcoin Up. Before I knew it I was taken to a site where I filled an online form with my personal details…Soon after got a call from Financial Resident and spewd out a load of trading info to me . I then got a second call from ‘ my financial advisor \ personal trader’ called Damon. Started off with £250 from my credit card …then he went on wanting me to transfer £1000.00 He said if I do that they will put up £5000.00 of their own money for the first month ..trade on it giving me any profits …just so I can see how the system works with no risk for myself in that first month…That’s how I understood him anyway…he was yaking away full of his own BS and I was full falling for it. He said he takes 3.5% commission on any amount that makes a profit…Anyway after an hour plus on the phone and problems following his instructions on the transfer of £10000.00 I said leave it till tomorrow and we can try again. It was then I googled this FR and found this review site. I immediately text Damon through WhatsApp saying I won’t be transferring any money until I see over the next month how my initial £250.00 is fairing. He’d already showed on my trading account a profi of £20.00 in just the first hour assuring me with a few thousand pounds I’d be profiting alot more in such a short time. Damon said ok …he will carry on trading for me in the meantime showing me the results and then we can get back to the subject of serious money….My trading account figure of 294.62 dollars has not changed since 3 days ago…Today I went to my Santander bank to report this scam and block any future payments …and hopefully get my initial deposit back or cancelled… Certainly a valuable lesson that could have cost me thousands instead of a couple of hundred…..

  17. Totally a “professional scammer”. My initial investment started with £250.00. However it added gradually up to approx £7K. I was made redundant and hoping to make some investments to pay off some financial commitments. When I told Damon that I need the monies, he’s asking more to deposit @ £3,800.00 in order release the funds. Prior to that, he even asking me to release the equity of my mortgage so that my mortgage payments can be paid? Alarm! We have spoken number occasions and he said that he was working with Deutch Bank as a Broker previously, for almost 20 years? Sounds a “genuine guy”. And, today the tone of the email is different than usual. He kept saying that he can’t release the funds if we are “trading”. From the account, it seems that it makes some profits though he has already taken $US7,000 when the account already generated some profits. I’m not sure if I could see the “investment” made…The karma is around us …

  18. Yeah been done also… Please read this… It might help someone, this is a post I left with action fraud.

I saw an advert online about Crypto investment, so I called them and paid a minimum investment of £250 as I was happy that if I lost it, it wouldn’t bee too bad.
I was promised that I would get regular updates on trading my money in Crypto by a specialist. They were ok to start off with but after a while I realised they wanted more investment. So I asked for a my money back.
Eventaully I had a call from someone called Thomas who said he was closing the account and I had actually made £1000.
This were it got scary. Thomas also said that because my account was left for a month with no one working on it they had actually worked out that I could have made another £2000 from missed trades. so was due back £4400. However it was stuck in a block chain so need to put half on the money back into this to release my funds. They were very convincing and stupidly I did this. After this my funds never arrived into my account. The story they then used was that the block chain needed me to transfer the full £4400 to release the block chain as it was still stuck due to dubious transactions. They tried getting me to take a loan for the rest of the money £2500 to so say release the block chain. This is when I stared to get scared. I refused to take a loan. They started getting rude and threatening. As it stands I’ve lost £2250 to these thieves of which I saved for ages.

  19. UPDATE: I left my initial post on the 17 March

Financial Resident have made contact again (last contact was 17 March). They are now claiming that my trading account has accrued $9000. This is another lie, as last contact I had they told me all the money was lost in the blockchain as I wouldn’t pay any more monies to retrieve.

Having checked the blockchain account with the owner/company , it was confirmed that the blockchain information sent by Financial Resident is false or fake.

During the call they will ask you security question, Bank details etc. I passed this even when providing him with made up details.

They then ask you to allow them to connect to your computer via a remote access. PLEASE DONT ALLOW THEM – THEY STEAL ALL KINDS OF INFOMORATION AND ACCESS PERSONAL DETAILS!!

I’m still blocking their numbers and hanging up on them .

Please do not use this company!!!!!!!!!

  20. Total scammers wish I had looked further before sending any money, lost my $250 usd but nearly lost more.
Please don’t do any business with them. I don’t understand how they can still exist.

  21. Financialresident.com.
que las autoridades les bloqueen las cuentas bancarias por tráfico de armas a los Islamistas radicales.
Toda empresa que tenga tratos con terroristas se le deberían quitar sus capitales.

  22. Has anybody heard of a fellow called Nick Jameson at financial resident? He pretended to trade on my behalf and when I wanted to withdraw the earnings he requested a £2000 withdrawal fee which inclusive of the earnings made I never got anything back.

  23. Please, each and everyone here who is resident in the UK if you are reading these threads it’s more than likely you have been a victim of this scam and you are unsure what to do or where to go for help and support.
So my suggestion for you is to do the following:

    1. Report it to Action Fraud https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
You can report fraud or cyber crime using our online reporting service any time of the day or night; the service enables you to both report a fraud and find help and support. We also provide help and advice over the phone through the Action Fraud contact centre. You can talk to our fraud and cybercrime specialists by calling 0300 123 2040.

    2. Go to Cifas https://www.cifas.org.uk/ Cost £25 for two years cover it may be possible your bank will do this for you.
    How does Cifas protect victims?
If a Cifas member identifies that you have been a victim of identity fraud, your details will be recorded in the National Fraud Database in order to protect you from further identity crime. Members of Cifas will then see that you are at risk and take extra steps to protect you, helping to prevent fraudsters from using your details to apply for products and services in your name. This may mean that when you apply for financial products and services the process may take slightly longer than usual, as extra checks will be made on applications made in your name. Members of Cifas may also get in touch with you to make further checks before processing your application. Where the risk of fraud is very low, some members may accept the application and contact you following acceptance to double-check that the application is from you. This will minimise delay while continuing to protect you from fraud.

    3. set up a free account at https://www.clearscore.com/
Clear Score will help you identify companies that have searched your credit score and you will be aware of potentially fraudulent activity this combined with CIFA will help you stay protected.

    4. Most important contact your bank as soon as you can report anything if you have a loan that you didn’t apply for by yourself and were persuaded into transferring into a wallet or bogus trading account. The bank has a Duty of Care and has failed you as a Loyal customer.

Finally, you are a victim of a crime, very professional and elaborate crime, you are not stupid, foolish or dumb, these are very professional and organised thieves.
Collate as much information as you can i.e: phone numbers, names, times of calls website address etc.

If everyone would do the above not only do you help your self but you will be helping others.

Protect your selves and stay safe.
    Den
