profit plus review

Read our Profit Plus review carefully to see why we do NOT recommend this broker for trading. Just to clear any suspicions this is a Profit-Plus.net review specifically.

Who are they?

After taking a look at their website, it shows that they do not fall under any regulating agency. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG!! That should be enough for you NOT to invest with them. And they also work with websites that offer “Automated trading software” which is another red flag, as this kind of websites are notoriously famous for scamming schemes.

So Profit Plus is just another unregulated forex broker, which means the customers are not protected, and there is highly likely they will get away with your hard earned money and there will be no regulating agency to hold them responsible.

How does it work?

Usually unregulated forex brokers work in the following way. They will call people to persuade them to make the initial minimum deposit, while trying any conceivable method in order to make that happen. They will offer deals that sound too good to be true, like we will double your initial deposit or you will make $100 per day easily. Please don’t fall for anything they say!!! It is a SCAM! After making the initial deposit, people get transferred to a smarter scammer, called a “retention agent”, who will try to get more money out of you.

Withdrawing funds

You should submit a withdrawal request ASAP, because your funds are never safe with an unregulated broker. And here is when things get tricky.

If you want to withdraw your money and it does not matter if you have profits or not, they will delay the withdrawing process for months. If they delay it for six months, you won’t be able to file a chargeback anymore and your money is gone for good. It does not matter how often you remind them or insist in withdrawing your money, you will NOT get them back. And if you signed the Managed Account Agreement or MAA, which is basically authorizing them to do anything they want on your account, they will lose all your funds so there won’t be anything to request anymore.

How to get your money back?

If you already deposited your money with them and they refuse to give your money back, which is very likely to happen, don’t worry, it might be a way or two to get your money back.
First of all you need to keep the emails as a proof that you have been requesting the money back from them but they don’t give it to you, or they delay the process for too long, with the intention of not refunding your money.

The first thing you should do is perform a chargeback! And you should do this right away! Contact your bank or credit card provider and explain how you were deceived into depositing for a trading company that is not regulated and they refuse to give your money back. This is the simplest way of getting your money back and is also the way that hurts them the most. Because if there are many chargebacks performed, it will destroy their relation with the payment service providers. If you haven’t done this before or you are not sure where to start or how to present your case to your bank or credit card company, we can assist you in preparing your chargeback case. Just contact us at [email protected] but do not let your broker know they you read this article or that you are in contact with us.

What about wires?

If you sent them a wire, there is no way to perform a chargeback on a wire. For this step you need to raise the fight to a different level. Tell them that you will go to the authorities and file a complaint against them. That will get them to rethink the refund possibility. Another thing you can do is prepare a letter or email for the regulating agencies. Depending on the country where you live, you can search on google to find the regulating agency for Forex brokers in that country. After that you can prepare a letter or an email describing how you got deceived from them. Make sure you show this letter or email to them, and tell them you will send it to the regulating agency if they don’t refund your money. If you do not know where to start, reach for us at [email protected] and we will also help you with this step.

  4. I recently had a dealing with this company and aside from the reviews available online, there were numerous issues identified with the way the staff dealt with me and also a number of technical warnings relating to how their website is set-up.

I’ll start with the phone calls. On the first contact, the female agent called me at what happened to be an inconvenient time for me, so I requested a call back. At first she told me that this was a special offer just for today only. I said that it was okay and to call me back at a specific time before the end of that business day. She agreed on a call back time and also informed me she had sent a link to my email address which they already had on file. The email did not arrive in my inbox or spam folder and the agent called back half an hour before the time I requested.

To begin with, this was an unsolicited call in the sense that I had not directly made contact with the company. I believe my contact details were likely scalped from another promotion/affiliate company I may have dealt with. Profit Plus knew my full name, contact number and primary email address.

I understand with other affiliate/promotion websites and email lists that although most of them promise not to sell your details on to third parties that often some of them still do anyway. This doesn’t always mean that the third party which gets hold of your details are necessarily out to scam you, there may be a remote possibility that you will be contacted by legitimate companies. I have been contacted by reputable organizations in the past as the result of opting-in after completing a legitimate survey.

The next morning I was contacted again by the same female agent, so apparently the “today only deal” from the day prior was “extended”. She asked me if I received the email to which I told her no. She then directed me to https://profit-plus.net in my browser and began her sales pitch. We went through the online forms and reached a point where it was time to enter a “coupon” code. At that point she transferred the call to a male agent.

The male agent became very pushy in a short space of time. While I had them on the phone I did some due diligence and discovered the following:

    1. The company is based in England, UK despite the phone number used to contact me showing as a local (Sydney, Australia) number.
    2. The domain https://profit-plus.net has only existed for 6 months.
    3. The domain is hosted on a GoDaddy server.
    4. The website is created with WordPress (amateur).
    5. The company, is not a regulated brokerage firm.
    6. The company Terms & Conditions and/or Privacy Policy mentions collection and sharing of your personal data with third parties.

When questioned about these issues, the male agent gradually became aggressive. He did not like it that I was taking the time to read Terms and Conditions and kept trying to push me through to the payment section.

When questioned about the phone number, he tried to tell me that it would be illegal for him to call me from the UK number as it would mean I would be liable for call charges(?). I’m not sure what he meant by this, it seemed very odd.

When questioned about regulation, he tried to convince me that because the company uses automated trading software, which is so new, it cannot be regulated.

When questioned about the domain origin, length of time in existence and how the website was built, this was the straw that broke the camel’s back for him – he ended up getting highly aggressive and then hung up on me.

Generally speaking, the male agent was pushy, passive-aggressive and unprofessional in his phone manner. He tried to use psychological tactics such as Fear Of Missing Out, Fear Uncertainty And Doubt and made assumptions that I was a procrastinator or was held back by negativity. He kept saying $100 (USD) is not much money [to lose] for gaining educational courses and the opportunity to trade with state-of-the-art automatic trading software.

My personal opinion is this type of operation is a kind of EXIT SCAM. This means in another 6 months time (or less) the company will run-off with the customers funds held and lie dormant briefly, creating a new domain and new scam afterwards for another round of scamming. It is most likely that all the company credentials are fake and the scammers are hiding behind a VPN or TOR Exit Node, possibly a combination of both. In these types of scams, the stolen funds will most likely be laundered using something like a bitcoin mixer and customer data will be on-sold to other scammers. This just my opinion, but everything else I mentioned doesn’t stack up in favor of the company’s reputation.
