Picture Quality

Sony KD43XH8096 offers very good picture quality thanks to the 4k resolution. The main display function is the HDR with Dolby Vision technology, which offers amazing picture quality. However, we have bad news for movie lovers as this TV does not support local dimming. The lack of local dimming means that the black color depth and uniformity are not as good and the movie experience is less pleasant. But at least it has frame dimming technology that makes up for the lack of local dimming technology. Thanks to the live color technology and the TRILUMINOS ™ display, the colors also look good. So if you plan to watch mostly HDR content and forego the lack of deep black colors, this TV may be the right one for you. We will give 4.2/5 points for the Sony KD43XH8096 review part of the picture quality.

Features

Sony KD43XH8096 is a smart TV that allows you to connect to the Internet and browse online content. The connection can be established via the integrated wireless module or via the Ethernet port. The Vewd browser is lightweight and therefore a sensible choice for TV implementation. This TV also has the Android operating system, which has always been an important part of Sony TVs. The Android operating system offers more functions than any other operating system as well as the Google Play Store, where you can find many useful apps. The built-in 16 GB storage is sufficient unless you want to store a lot of movies in it. With Chromecast built-in, you can easily share your smartphone’s screen with the TV. Another very useful feature is the compatibility with Alexa and Google home. We will give 5/5 points for the Sony KD43XH8096 review part of the features.

Sound

Sony KD43XH8096 has two built-in speakers with 10W power each. The total output power of 20W is usually enough, unless you are standing too far from the TV. If this is the case you should consider buying external speakers that will turn your room into a home theater. If you are planning to buy external speakers you can also take advantage of the surround sound mode. The sound is clear thanks to the Clear Audio+ technology, but that depends on the content quality. We will give 4/5 points for the Sony KD43XH8096 review part of the sound.

Design

Sony KD43XH8096 has generally a good design. The frame is quite thin so it will look good if you wall-mount it. Also most of the connection ports are on the side so there will be no problem if you wall-mount it. The built material is of good quality so the TV doesn’t look cheap and will add a nice décor touch to your room. We will give 4.5/5 points for the Sony KD43XH8096 review part of the design.

Price

The price was £649 as of March 2020 which is not a bad price. We will give 4.5/5 points for the Sony KD43XH8096 review part of the price.

Sony KD43XH8096 Review Conclusions

This TV is generally a good TV for watching 4K HDR content, sports and play games. It is also equipped with a lot of features thanks to the Android OS which has always been a strong feature of Sony’s TVs. In addition it supports BT HID which enables you to connect a keyboard and a mouse to the TV to make the browsing and gaming experience better. The sound is loud and clear but that also depends on the content quality. The design is very good and so is the price. We hope that our Sony KD43XH8096 review has been helpful.
