Picture Quality

LG 60UJ6050 has an amazing picture quality thanks to the 4k resolution. The most important display feature is the active HDR which offers bright and colorful images with astonishing clearness. In addition, the IPS technology distributes the light uniformly throughout the screen and strengthens the colors furthermore. However, we have bad news for the movie lovers because this TV doesn’t have local dimming. Local dimming is a feature that dims the backlight of the screen where the colors are black thus providing deep black colors and it is very important when watching content with dark scenes, like movies. The UHD up-scaling feature can improve low resolution content, however don’t expect miracles. We will give 4/5 points for the LG 60UJ6050 review part of the picture quality.

Features

LG 60UJ6050 is a smart TV so you can connect it to the internet and browse online content. The internet connection may be established through the LAN port or through the integrated wireless module. You can also access or download many apps, games or movies in the LG content store. Web OS 3.5 is the latest operating system developed for LG TVs. Another useful feature is the screen sharing technology which allows you to share your smartphone’s screen with the TV. In addition, LG 60UJ6050 has all the essential connectivity and all the essential ports. We will give 4/5 points for the LG 60UJ6050 review part of the features.

Sound

LG 60UJ6050 has two built in speakers with 10W power each. The total output of 20W is usually enough, unless you are standing too far from the TV. If that is the case, you should consider buying external speakers that will turn your room into a home theater. The ultra surround mode is good, especially if you buy external speakers and the sound is clear also but that depends on the content quality. Other important sound features include the DTS decoder and the Hi-Fi audio support. We will give 4/5 points for the LG 60UJ6050 review part of the sound.

Design

LG has always paid attention to the design of its TVs and the LG 60UJ6050 does not make an exception. The color is very special and enhances the good looks. The frame is thin, which is a very desirable feature nowadays. Also the standers look good, even that their shape is so common amongst TV designs. We will give 4/5 points for the LG 60UJ6050 review part of the design.

LG 60UJ6050 Review Price

Our review price range was $712 as of February 2018, which is not bad for a 4K TV with active HRD. We will give 5/5 points for the LG 60UJ6050 review part of the price.

Conclusions

LG 60UJ6050 is a very good mid-range TV. The picture quality is amazing thanks to the 4K resolution and active HRD. In addition, LG 60UJ6050 has all the essential features but is not magic remote ready. The most important features are internet connectivity and screen sharing. However, we have bad news for the movie lovers because this TV doesn’t have local dimming. The design is good and so is the price. We hope that our LG 60UJ6050 review has been helpful to you.

  1. Black and dark colors are not good on this TV. Looks like clouds going across and up and down. Had a technician out to my house and they say it’s within specs you even see it at startup lines going all the way across. Other than that the colors good but if that would bother you don’t buy this TV. I’m not happy with it.
