LG 34UM88-P has an amazing picture quality thanks to the ultra wide resolution which is also the preferred resolution by most people. IPS panels tend to have the best colors but not the best response rates. But don’t get us wrong because this monitor is great for gaming. The contrast ratio isn’t the best out there but still it produces great colors, mostly because of the IPS panel and 1.07 billion colors can’t be wrong. The brightness is good too but not the best that we have seen. We will give 5/5 points for LG 34UM88-P review part of the picture quality.
LG 34UM88-P also comes with some very useful features where the most important one is the free sync technology. This feature removes image tearing and provides a smooth gaming experience. Another good gaming feature is the black stabilizer that can really bring objects out of the shades. Also the DAS (Dynamic Action Sync) feature is great when playing action games as it minimizes input lag. The screen can also be divided in lots of different ways and this comes in handy when you are working. LG 34UM88-P also has all the essential connectivity including one thunderbolt port and two built-in speakers with 7W each, which is great. Other important features are flicker safe technology and 1ms motion blur reduction. We will give 5/5 points for LG 34UM88-P review part of the features.
LG 34UM88-P has also a great design. The color looks good and it can adapt in any room. The stander looks good too and it is not too big or exaggerated. It has the common flexibility but nothing special worth to mention, simple and great. We will give 4.5/5 points for the LG 34UM88-P review part of the design.
LG 34UM88-P Review Price
Our review price was $695 which is a great price for a great monitor like this. We will give 4.5/5 points for the LG 34UM88-P review part of the price.

GREAT DESIGN AND GOOD FOR GAMING AND WORK!!!
ive only had this for a few days, but it came very well packaged, safe and secure, set it up the next day and mounted it to the 100×100 vesa, screen looks great!!everything is very vivid,if ya have something to calibrate it i would do so,i used my spyder 5,makes the already good picture look even better.very surprised at how light weight this screen is,the vesa mount i have this on is rated for 27 in. displays,i love that lg made this so light that you can use pretty much any mount as long as it supports 100×100 and the mount dont protrude to much at each mount hole or it’ll need raised 1/2 inch to clear the back monitor, picture attached to show you what i mean,i came from a Acer X34 that i had nothing but issues with,so,was looking to get it replaced sadly after dishing out all the cash for it,and i came across the HP 35 X Omen UW screen, just not enough reviews and lack of info, this LG screen had a good bit on amazon and newegg, and thou i use Nvidia cards,i overclocked this in its native res to 80 hertz and there is not a bit of ghosting of frame skipping, and productivity is great on this screen to,no BLB common of IPS,all pixels are good…i got exactly what i needed and wanted in a panel and ive used a side display beside mt X34 which was a LG 29um68 and i loved it for ease of use compared to most other monitors,LG’s OSD is very easy to use and is very fast to get to where you wanna go in the menus to change anything fast, and good software now if you choose to use it.so,great panel!!i give it 8/10!!:)

The only monitor you need to buy
This is hands down the BEST monitor I’ve owned. First off, its massive. Like, significantly bigger then I expected. The screen real-estate is almost laughable next to my 1080.
-Colors are vibrant, and accurate
-Tons of real estate
-Picture in picture with 2 separate PC’s is an IT persons dream
-No scaling (unlike 4k)
-Protective layer over panel itself (clean grubby finger prints of peasants that touch my screen against my will)
-Built in speakers are tolerable
-GTA V looks INSANE at 21:9 (Running with a 980ti/4790k 4.4ghz)
-Some back light bleed, definitely nothing major to complain about
-Heavy. This is a set it and forget it monitor. My existing vesa mount struggled with the weight.
-Included DP cable is junk. Feels like its made from happy meal plastic, caused some screen-tearing in game
-On-screen display software is -OK at best. Needs work.

Fantastic and Accurate Monitor
I use this monitor for everything from color grading to gaming and I love every single little bit about it, the only thing I would improve is the audio, its not the best, but it IS a monitor so you really cant ask for much! The color is vivid and very accurate. The only problem is its color varation in the lower left hand corner, it leans slightly warmer down there than the rest of the screen which I hear is common on all of them. Other than that, this monitor is a MASSIVE bang for the buck considering its incredible accuracy and performance. I just wish it had GSync instead of FreeSync 🙂
Also, I am glad I got the flat and not the curved version, At this small size, curved would have just been annoying.
LG 34UM88-P Bad User Reviews
★ 1 out of 5 stars.
Same issue that people have talked about here – arrived with a rattling sound and missing screws (probably what’s causing the rattling noise). Sent it back for a replacement – hopefully that won’t be broken too…

Low quality assembly, abysmal customer service Buyer beware
After 6 months of ownership the monitor developed a line of red pixels from top to bottom. After researching the issue it was found to be a bad cable connecting the panel.
Monitor has now been at LG for 2 months, they are not servicing it and have issues a replacement. However I have not received the replacement and when I call them every week I get the same answer from their customer service department.
“You will have your replacement in 3-5 days” I have been hearing that for the last 6 weeks.
Only buy LG if you are buying their cheap disposable junk, if you are looking for high end monitors then look at other brand. If you are looking for customer service steer wide of LG as a company.
LG 34UM88-P is a great monitor overall. The picture quality is amazing and especially the colors. The response rate is not the best out there but it is not terrible either. The most important features are the free sync technology, the black stabilizer and dynamic action sync. Design is great but the price is just a little high. We hope our LG 34UM88-P review has been helpful to you.
Should I buy LG 34UM88-P?
We say that you go for this monitor because is simply great. However, we also recommend taking a look at this other monitor LG 34UC98.
