Picture Quality

LG 24UD58-B has an amazing picture quality thanks to the 4k resolution and the brightness is good too. IPS panels tend to have the best colors but not the best response rates. But don’t get us wrong, because this monitor is good for gaming too, even that is not designed specifically for gaming. The response rate is not the best out there but is not that bad either. We will give 5/5 points for the LG 24UD58-B review part of the picture quality.

LG 24UD58-B also has some very useful features. The most important one is AMD free sync technology that makes the gaming experience smoother. Also the black stabilizer is good too and can really bring the objects out of the shades. However, it doesn’t have much connectivity and does not have built-in speakers. We will give 4/5 points for LG 24UD58-B review part of the features.

LG 24UD58-B has also a really nice design. The color looks great and so does the stander. It also has the common flexibility. We will give 4.5/5 points for the LG 24UD58-B review part of the design.

LG 24UD58-B Review Price

Our review price was $309 as of August 2017 which is a bit high even for the 4k resolution, the useful features and the great design. We will give 5/5 points for the LG 24UD58-B review part of the price.

WOW. Awesome entry 4K monitor
I use this monitor for gaming 90% of the time. So my review will be mostly be about that. I moved from my 2560×1080 ultrawide monitor to this. I was very skeptical on moving away from the 21:9 aspect ratio. But I’m very happy I did. The clarity and colors of this monitor are fantastic. Gaming looks incredible on here and so does 4k movies and videos. I did a lot of research on if 4k is worth it or not. Like if you could really see a difference. And BOY yes you can. If you are hesitant like I was, take the plunge, this monitor and 4k is amazing.

Excellent 4K monitor
Stellar monitor. I put two of these on my Lenovo ThinkPad via a 3-monitor hub connected to my DisplayPort connection. The clarity at full 4k resolution is insane. I actually had to decrease my resolution settings so that I could even see my desktop icons. Editing and viewing my high resolution pictures and videos has been a dream.

This is by far the best tech upgrade I have made to my setup in a long time. I have a 4k TV in my home and never really thought of getting a 4k monitor. I run a 3 monitor setup and actually had the intention of purchasing an ultra wide. When I went to the store my eyes kept going to the 4k monitors more than the ultrawides. I think it was the height of the ultrawides that kind of turned me off. After researching a few different models settled on this LG and boy am I glad I did.
Colors are great and the image just pop off the screen with true 4k content. Black levels are amazing There are a few HDMI (2)/Display port (1) inputs on the back so this monitor can support multiple source inputs simultaneously if needed. For the price I paid (less than $250) I could not ask for more. I am not a gamer other than when using a Vive so I cannot speak to how this monitor performs gaming. It does have free sync and a gamer mode that is very easy to switch to from the switch on the bottom of the monitor.

Amazing quality, I was kind of skeptical getting such a small screen when upgrading to 4k worrying I wouldn’t see the advantages. However, I am glad I didn’t go with a 28+” monitor because the size of this one is perfect and I have no troubles reading text on the screen from a normal viewing distance. It also fits much more nicely in my space.

It’s a beautiful monitor and as a ton of pixels
Just picked up this display, it arrived today, and man I am blown away. I’m convinced, I will never go anything less than 4K again, ever. There is no reason too, at this price, it’s a beautiful monitor and as a ton of pixels. As a Mac user, I set it up with a DisplayPort cable, and at full resolution it support 60Hz refresh! It is crystal clear, I can’t be more happy. I have Final Cut Pro X running and I can easily have a full 1080p video and all of the editing functions on the screen at one time, no scaling down of the preview pane. Incredible!

Thumbs way down!
This monitor actually looks worse than my 1080p laptop screen. I don’t see any evidence of 4k clarity you would expect. My friend has a 60inch 4k tv that is amazing looking and my thought was that a smaller 4k screen would have higher pixel density and be great with my Xbox one x. Nope. First thing I noticed was jagged edges around text. Jagged edges that aren’t apparent on my other monitors. I’ve mulled over the settings and can’t seem to get that sharp crisp picture you expect from a monitor. And I already threw away the stupid box or id return.

Worked fine for 2 hours
Worked fine for 2 hours, then a thick purple line appeared towards the right edge of the screen. Confirmed a monitor issue with other computers and cables, I will update the review if the replacement isn’t a piece too.

Love amazon’s replacement method where you can order a replacement without having to send back your partially functional product immediately.

LG 24UD58-B has a great picture quality to offer thanks to the 4k resolution. It is good for gaming too. Also it has some very useful features that will make the gaming experience much better. Design is good but the price is a little high. We hope our LG 24UD58-B review has been helpful to you.

Should I LG 24UD58-B worth to buy?

LG 24UD58-B is one of the best monitors out there, however we also recommend taking a look at this other monitor Benq PD2500Q.
