Picture Quality

Samsung UE55MU8000 has a good picture quality thanks to the 4K resolution. Of course, not as good as QLED TVs, but still pretty good. One important display feature is the HDR 1000 which can provide bright and colorful images and can be very useful when watching colorful content or playing games. The colors look good too thanks to the active crystal color, contrast enhancer and mega contrast ratio technologies. Also we have good news for the movie lovers because this TV supports local dimming. Local dimming is a display feature that dims the backlight where the colors are black thus providing deep black colors which is very important when watching content with dark scenes, like movies. The ultra clean view and digital clean view enhance the picture clarity and are useful. We will give 4.7/5 points for the Samsung UE55MU8000 review part of the picture quality.

Samsung UE55MU8000 is a smart TV so you can connect it to the internet and browse online content. The connection can be established through the integrated wireless technology or through the LAN port. Even that the Samsung UE55MU8000 is low on features, it does have the essential ones. Like the screen sharing technologies that allows you to share your phone’s screen with the TV through the mobile to TV mirroring feature or vice versa through the TV to mobile mirroring. The USB and BT HID support features allows you to connect a keyboard and a mouse to the TV through a Bluetooth connection or through a USB port so the browsing experience will be better. One new feature of 2017 Samsung TVs is the 360 video player which is kind of cool. We will give 4/5 points for the Samsung UE55MU8000 review part of the features.

Samsung UE55MU8000 has two Dolby Digital Plus built-in speakers with 20W power each. The total output power of 40 W is usually enough, unless you are standing too far from the TV. If this is the case you should consider buying external speakers that will turn your room into a home theater. If you do buy external speakers you can also take advantage of the multi room link technology. The sound is clear, but that depends on the content quality. Samsung UE55MU8000 has also a woofer which improves the sound quality even further. Also, Samsung UE55MU8000 supports Bluetooth audio which may be of use. We will give 5/5 points for the Samsung UE55MU8000 review part of the sound.

Samsung UE55MU8000 has a good design. The silver color looks good on TVs and will make the TV compatible with whatever color your room has. The frame is thin, which is a desirable design feature nowadays. The stander looks good too even that it is kind of big. But it also serves for a better purpose because you can hide the cables inside it so there will be no more ugly cables around the TV. Samsung UE55MU8000 does look like an expensive TV and will make your room more beautiful. We will give 5/5 points for the Samsung UE55MU8000 review part of the design.

Samsung UE55MU8000 review price

Our review price was £1,263 as of October 2017 which is not that bad considering the 4K resolution and the useful features. We will give 4.5/5 points for the Samsung UE55MU8000 review part of the price.

Samsung UE55MU8000 has a good picture quality thanks to the 4K resolution. The most important display feature is the HDR 1000 which can offer bright and colorful images. Although the Samsung UE55MU8000 is low in features it does have the most essential ones, including internet connection, screen sharing technologies and BT and USB HID. The sound is also loud and clear but that depends on the content quality and how far you are planning to stay from the TV. Design is good too and Samsung UE55MU8000 will make your room look better. Also the price is not bad either but that is a matter of perspective. We hope that our Samsung UE55MU8000 review has been helpful to you.
